Licensing

When you work with Rough Wake Media House, you’re purchasing the right to use the final visuals we create for you—not the copyright to the work itself.

Your License

Once your project has been paid for in full, you receive a non-exclusive, perpetual license to use the final delivered visuals for:

  • Live performances and DJ sets.

  • LED walls, projectors, screens, and other live display systems.

  • Social media and promotional content related to your performances, music, or brand.

  • Personal and commercial promotional use related to the project.

Your license is worldwide and does not expire, so you can continue using your finished visuals for as long as you like.

What We Retain

Rough Wake Media House retains the copyright and ownership of the original creative work. This means the work cannot be resold, relicensed, transferred to another artist or company, or substantially repurposed as someone else's work without our written permission.

We also retain the right to showcase completed work in our portfolio, website, social media, promotional materials, and other examples of our work.

Source Files

Final rendered files are included according to the deliverables outlined in your package. Working files, project files, 3D scenes, source assets, and other production files are not included unless specifically agreed upon.

Exclusive Rights

If you require exclusive ownership or copyright transfer of a project, let us know before production begins. Exclusive licensing or copyright transfer is available on a case-by-case basis and may require an additional fee.

Third-Party Assets

If a project incorporates fonts, software, stock assets, music, or other third-party materials, those elements remain subject to their respective licenses and are not transferred as part of your Rough Wake license.

The Short Version

You pay for the visuals. You get to use them. We retain ownership of the work.
